Anne Eller - Biography
Anne
Eller was born a Yankee, but is a southerner at heart. As a
radio host her style is unique and one that few interviewers
possess. Her interviews are real conversations and not the
clipped versions offered on most programs. She is the recipient
of three STAR Awards presented by the South Carolina
Broadcasters Association, two for Radio Show of the Year and one
for Commercial Production in a small/medium market. Her 30+
years as a businesswoman bring a unique perspective to what she
does on the radio and her knowledge of the business world gives
her interviews a certain edge and offers a different angle to
numerous topics.
Anne is
the Owner of WCRS Radio and the host of three exceptional and
diverse programs on WCRS Radio. The Lakeland #1 Rated Radio
Show
“Meet Me at the Diner"
is her award winning daily interview
show, and
“I Love Anne” is her enormously popular morning show.
She is also the host the Saturday Morning hit
“Trash to
Treasures Along a Country Road” a welcome
alternative to the average Saturday morning listening experience
with a 3 hour program featuring Classic Country Music that is
packed with great music and interesting facts about the artists
all provided by Anne.
Although most
of her interviews take place live in the studio Anne is
never afraid to go where the story is. She has traveled to
Washington on numerous occasions, conducting interviews from
various politician’s offices, the national GOP Headquarters and
well known landmarks throughout the City. As the only South
Carolina reporter to broadcast live from the National Republican
Convention in Tampa she was afforded the unique opportunity of
being imbedded with the South Carolina delegation and was able
to include her listeners in this once in a lifetime experience.
She broadcast live at Senator Lindsey Graham’s request as she
accompanied him on a walking tour of Downtown Greenwood and
spent a week at The Links Golf Course covering the 2014 LPGA
sponsored Symetra Golf Tournament Event. She was the only Radio
Show Host invited to cover the Grand Reopening of
the
South Carolina State Museum and broadcast live using her
exceptional descriptive style of reporting to bring it all home
to her listeners.
Anne’s
has interviewed hundreds of people over the years, the list is
as long as it is impressive and includes celebrities, sports
stars, authors, the famous and the infamous. She regularly
interviews Politicians on a Local, State and Federal Level. She
has interviewed Governor Nikki Haley, Senators Jim DeMint, Tim
Scott and Lindsey Graham and all of our State Congressmen on
numerous occasions. During Congressman Jim Clyburn’s last
studio interview he told Anne that if Greenwood were in his
District he would be a guest on her show every week and when
Anne asked Congressman Trey Gowdy what he thought about the
retiring Congressman Mike Rogers becoming a Talk Radio host he
told her there was wasn’t room for another talk show host in
South Carolina because she had that position tied up. She has
interviewed Athletes such as Hank Aaron and Heisman Trophy
Winner George Rogers, along with Comedian Harry Anderson, TV
Personality Gunny Emery, Author Sandra Brown and syndicated talk
show hosts Neal Boortz and Herman Cain. She has appeared live
numerous times in the DC Studios of Nationally syndicated Talk
Show Host Jim Bohannon. He in turn has appeared in her studio
and also calls into the morning program on a regular basis where
spirited conversation always takes place.
