Anne Eller - Biography

Anne Eller was born a Yankee, but is a southerner at heart. As a radio host her style is unique and one that few interviewers possess.  Her interviews are real conversations and not the clipped versions offered on most programs.  She is the recipient of three STAR Awards presented by the South Carolina Broadcasters Association, two for Radio Show of the Year and one for Commercial Production in a small/medium market.  Her 30+ years as a businesswoman bring a unique perspective to what she does on the radio and her knowledge of the business world gives her interviews a certain edge and offers a different angle to numerous topics.

Anne is the Owner of WCRS Radio and the host of three exceptional and diverse programs on WCRS Radio.   The Lakeland #1 Rated Radio Show “Meet Me at the Diner" is her award winning daily interview show, and “I Love Anne” is her enormously popular morning show.  She is also the host the Saturday Morning hit “Trash to Treasures Along a Country Road” a welcome alternative to the average Saturday morning listening experience with a 3 hour program featuring Classic Country Music that is packed with great music and interesting facts about the artists all provided by Anne.

Although most of her interviews take place live in the studio Anne is never afraid to go where the story is. She has traveled to Washington on numerous occasions, conducting interviews from various politician’s offices, the national GOP Headquarters and well known landmarks throughout the City. As the only South Carolina reporter to broadcast live from the National Republican Convention in Tampa she was afforded the unique opportunity of being imbedded with the South Carolina delegation and was able to include her listeners in this once in a lifetime experience. She broadcast live at Senator Lindsey Graham’s request as she accompanied him on a  walking tour of Downtown Greenwood and spent a week at The Links Golf Course covering the 2014 LPGA sponsored Symetra Golf Tournament Event.  She was the only Radio Show Host invited to cover the Grand Reopening of the South Carolina State Museum and broadcast live using her exceptional descriptive style of reporting to bring it all home to her listeners.

Anne’s has interviewed hundreds of people over the years, the list is as long as it is impressive and includes celebrities, sports stars, authors,  the famous and the infamous.  She regularly interviews Politicians on a Local, State and Federal Level.  She has interviewed Governor Nikki Haley, Senators Jim DeMint, Tim Scott and Lindsey Graham and all of our State Congressmen on numerous occasions.   During Congressman Jim Clyburn’s last studio interview he told Anne that if Greenwood were in his District he would be a guest on her show every week and when Anne asked Congressman Trey Gowdy what he thought about the retiring Congressman Mike Rogers becoming a Talk Radio host he told her there was wasn’t room for another talk show host in South Carolina because she had that position tied up.  She has interviewed Athletes such as Hank Aaron and Heisman Trophy Winner George Rogers, along with Comedian Harry Anderson, TV Personality Gunny Emery, Author Sandra Brown and syndicated talk show hosts Neal Boortz and Herman Cain. She has appeared live numerous times in the DC Studios of Nationally syndicated Talk Show Host Jim Bohannon.  He in turn has appeared in her studio and also calls into the morning program on a regular basis where spirited conversation always takes place.
